On 28th May 2020, TMDA Zonal Office and Local Government Authorities Coordinator (ZOLGAC), Dr. Henry Irunde, visited DHL office at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) to observe various regulatory functions mainly clearing of imported medical products for prevention of COVID-19. Dr. Irunde met with senior officers and agreed on how to speed up clearance of consignments of medicines, medical devices and diagnostics imported through DHL.

One of the functions of TMDA is to facilitate inspection of regulated products. TMDA Zonal Office and Local Government Authorities Coordinator (ZOLGAC), Dr. Henry Irunde, visited Dar es Salaam Port on 27th May, 2020 to observe various regulatory functions carried by TMDA inspectors at Ports of Entry. During his visit, he distributed newly developed TMDA inspectors' Identification cards aimed to control fake inspectors.
