PAYMENT OF ANNUAL RETENTION FEES FOR THE YEAR 2021

1. According to Section 55 (b) of the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Act, Cap 219, all registered medicines and medical devices are required to be maintained in the register of registered medicines and medical devices by paying Annual Retention Fees.
2. The Retention Fees are required to be paid by 31^st January of each calendar year as per the TMDA Fees and Charges Regulations, 2015 and its amendment Regulations of 2017.
3. According to the Regulations cited above, after 31^st January, 2021, Import Permits will not be issued to any product of which its Annual Retention Fee has not been paid.
4. All companies are required to collect the respective invoices from TMDA Sub-Head Offices (located at Off Nelson Mandela Road, Mabibo External, P.O. Box 77150, Dar es Salaam) and pay the annual retention fees for the calendar year, 2021 before the 31^st January, 2021.
