GOVERNMENT ELECTRONIC PAYMENT GATEWAY (GePG) SYSTEM FOR TRANSFER OF MONEY AND PAYMENT FOR TMDA SERVICES

1. Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) has been using Government Electronic Payment Gateway System to receive money for payment of services it is offering from 1^st July, 2019. Customers from abroad and those residing in Tanzania are all required to use GePG when making payments to government departments and agencies.
2. Based on feedback of customers from abroad, TMDA is issuing this guidance to enhance effective use of GePG and to address challenges which some of our customers were facing while using this payment facility.
3. All customers are required to adhere to the following instructions when transferring money to TMDA bank accounts: -
   1. The amount payable should match the amount indicated in the invoice issued with control number only;
   2. The form for fund transfer (Swift transfer form) should be dully filled in, and the fields for beneficiary bank account and payment reference or payment details should be filled as per example shown below: -
      1. Beneficiary Account: /bank account number
         Example
         Beneficiary Account: /20810015291
      2. Payment reference or Payment details:/ROC/Control Number
         Example
         Payment reference or Payment details: /ROC/991330026626
         
4. Please ensure that all additional bank charges are known prior and settled or included in the transfer such that the exact amount indicated in the invoice is transferred to TMDA account.
5. In a situation where the amount transferred is more than the amount indicated in the invoice issued with control number, the additional amount paid, is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
6. Payment should be made to the following bank accounts: -
