Head, Lake Zone Laboratory
The Lake laboratory is located at Lake Zone Eastern office, for the purpose of extending laboratory services close to the public and allowing for their easy accessibility. The laboratory serves Mwanza, Geita, Shinyanga, Kagera, Mara and Simiyu region.
The laboratory is subdivided into Medicines Chemical Analysis and Microbiology Analysis sections, which are responsible for analysis of regulated and non regulated products. The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment to be a centre of excellence for testing of biocidals.
The laboratory is welcoming researchers, students, and other stakeholders to use the laboratory for testing activities.

- UV-Vis Spectrophotometers
- Micro Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer (MP-AES)
- Dissolution test apparatus
- Steam sterilizers
