WHO-Maturity Level 3
In May, 2018 the Technical Team from WHO HQ and other countries in Africa visited the then Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority (TFDA) for the benchmarking programme so as to identify Strength and areas of improvement in the Authority and as well as establish Institutional Development Plan to address the areas of improvement and build on the strength identified. Tanzania becomes the first country in Africa to acheve this level of maturity.
