INVITATION FOR COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS OF THE TANZANIA MEDICINE AND MEDICAL DEVICES ACT

1. Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children is in the process of soliciting and collecting comments from stakeholders on the proposed amendments of the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Act.
2. A stakeholders meeting was held from the 15^th-16^th, October 2019, at TMDA offices in Dar es Salaam, to deliberate on the undersigned agenda. TMDA would like to extend its deep gratitude to all stakeholders for their constructive comments on the justification for amendments of the Act.
3. TMDA is highly further delighted to inform all stakeholders that the comments are still being collected from all stakeholders and the deadline for receiving comments has been extended up to the 31^st day of October, 2019.
4. In addition to the meeting alluded above, Stakeholders are humbly further invited to provide more comments on the amendments process whereby the specific areas to give comments can be found in the TMDA website. You are advised to use the respective format as kindly indicated in the Matrix.
